Morning Sickness Remedies

It's horrible, It's sad, It's terrible, It's Tiring BUT It's Inevitable..................

Morning Sickness    DUN DUN DUHHHNNNNNN (my sound words for dramatic effects, you know you loved it)

Morning sickness is something that all pregnant women, or at least all normal pregnant, women will experience. Now there are those rare women that we all love to hate whom will have nine glorious months of pregnancy without ever getting queasy or feeling like their going to be sick, But lets Face It Honey Those Chicks Are One in A Million. I for one am not one of the lucky ones. '

I have had morning, afternoon, and evening sickness all 17 weeks of pregnancy so far. I am so sick of it! (no pun intended ;). But really what is a girl  to do?

Well I'm glad you asked. Although morning sickness is inevitable sometimes there are some things that can be done to prevent it.

Here are my Top 5 Morning Sickness Remedies:

1) Just Play Hooky!
Sometimes you can get nauseous just by overworking yourself. It okay to take a sick day every no and again and it will very well make you feel so much better in the end.

2) Drink a lot of water!
I Know I know your already going to the bathroom five times an hour and it can get really tiring. Why drink more water when you'll have to be running to the bathroom even more. But studies show that the more hydrated you are the less nauseous you will be. Also water helps with stretch marks and skin car!! SO Drink Up.

3) Natural Smells
It is often smells that can trigger nausea; perfume, cologne, orders, garbage etc. There are some smells that help with your upset tummy. Lemon is a one of the best kind of smells to settle your stomach during pregnancy. Keep lemon candy or fresh lemon juice in your purse and when you get nauseous just pull it out and whiff away.

4) GINGER!!!!
EVERY PREGNANT WOMEN SWEARS BY GINGER. Ginger Ale, ginger drops, ginger tea, anything ginger is known to help with nausea. You may remember your mother giving you ginger ale when you were younger and feeling sick to your stomach. I know I do and it always seemed to help.

5) Snacking frequently.
Maybe before you were pregnant you could eat the normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner but now you are pregnant and eating for two. You get hungry more often and your baby will not hesitate to eat whatever is in your belly. If there's nothing in your belly your baby will feed on the lining of your stomach. Disgusting! I know! BUT UNFORTUNATLEY IT HAPPENS. This can cause you to get really sick to your stomach. So Snack Snack Snack! Dry foods are good; breads, crackers, popcorn. They will keep you full faster and help you feel better in the long run.

So ladies I hope that you have a little more knowledge under your belt. If there is anything else you know of that can help fellow mommies with there nausea don't hesitate to comment below.

Until Next time.. Love you all

My BIG FAT Valentines Day

I stood in the mirror looking at the Big Fat Red Blob for what seemed like an hour.

It was Valentines Day and I had bought the most beautiful red dress IN THE WORLD. It was short and flirty with a sweetheart neck line that would flatter my body perfectly. OR SO I THOUGHT.

I was in the mall the week before valentines day shopping for hours. My Fiancé and I had dinner reservations to one of the most elegant restaurants downtown and I wanted to look my absolute best. I stumbled across many great stores with cute dresses but I didn't want just any dress I want THE ONE.  All day I imagined how I would react when I finally laid eyes on the dress of perfection. And just as I imagined It was a moment to remember.

There it was hanging in the window of Charlotte Rouse in all of its glory. My body stood as stiff as a statue just staring at it as I thought of the look on my fiancé's face when he saw me wearing it for the first time.

IT WAS PERFECT! I HAD TO HAVE IT! SO I WAISTED NO TIME. I BOUGHT THE DRESS OFF THE MANNEQUIN WITHOUT EVEN TRYING IT ON.

That was mistake number one.

Mistake number two was not taking on of my good friends with me when I went dress shopping who would politely remind me that I AM PREGNANT AND THEREFORE CAN NO LONGER FIT INTO SHORT LITTLE RED FLIRTY DRESSES.

So there I stood In the mirror staring at the blob of fat that was my four-month-pregnant belly just thinking to myself, Taylor you are such an IDIOT how could you forget that you're pregnant. How could you not try the dress on before you bought it? An For Gosh Sakes WHY ARE YOU GETTING SO FAT.

It was then it hit me....... I'm Pregnant... And Pregnant Means You Will Gain Weight.

In the distance of my thoughts I heard a faint knocking on the door. It was my fiancé calling out to me. "Babe you still alive?" he said. "We're gonna miss our reservations."

I opened the door to allow him to see the disaster of what I had been dealing with in hopes he would understand that I needed more time to get ready. I was not at all expecting what would come out of his mouth next.

"Babe you are beautiful!" he said.

His whole face lit up while he stared at me and my fat. It warmed my heart in the most way possible. I had fully expected him to see me the way I had seen myself and disapprove but he was all the way different. I whined that I hated the way the dress made me look because I felt fat and couldn't fit it. He said he thought my baby bump was so cute and loved that I was carrying his child. His googly-eyed look never left his face. He told me no matter what I wear I would be beautiful and my growing belly is just the sign of a healthy baby and that made him most happy.

The rest of the evening I caught myself looking at him just thinking about how Truly lucky I am to have him. I can feel comfortable in my new pregnant body because I know that I am beautiful no matter what. It is still hard sometimes that i cannot fit all of my beautiful clothes but it is so nice to have the Best Support System in the world.

Shout out to all the fathers, husbands, boyfriends, and brothers that encourage their women and sisters no matter what their size or shape :)

YOU ARE Greatness

The word "GREAT", overall, is not a powerful word. I mean, it's better than good, fine, or okay but still it is not powerful. However, "GREATNESS",  now that is a powerful word.

For example:
"You are a Great person"
or
"Your mom accomplished Greatness when she made you"

Which one would you rather hear? I'm sure we can all agree that the second sentence sounds much more satisfying. The definition of greatness is:
great·ness
ˈɡrātnəs/
noun

  1. the quality of being great, distinguished, or eminent.
    "Elgar's greatness as a composer"

Why is this relevant to Along Came Baby? Well recently I have been planning my wedding and Boy Has It Ever Been Stressful. Now don't get me wrong it is also very exciting. Nevertheless, planning EVERY SINGLE detail, song, guest book design, cake decoration, and etc., all-the-while dealing with how everyone else thinks I should plan My wedding, can sometimes make me want to rip my hair out.

I realize most of the stress of my wedding has come from the people I love the most. When people love you they want wants best for you and when you get married Those people think all Their ideas are what is best. Its no longer about what you may want your wedding to look like but what others think is right for you. (and sometimes whats right for them)

I FOUND MYSELF FEELING LIKE NONE OF MY DECISIONS WERE GOOD ENOUGH. Nothing I had to offer was great because all of my ideas were being shut down; and not just by anyone But By The Ones I Love The Most.  I wanted our wedding to achieve greatness and I felt like I was failing. Failing at making anyone happy, failing at being happy, and disappointing people.

Then I remembered something. An Idea Of GREATNESS, if you will.

I AM NOT GREAT BECAUSE OF WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT ME OR HOW THEY MAKE ME FEEL. I AM GREAT BECAUSE OF HOW I THINK OF MYSELF AND WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE.

I wanted to post about this specifically because I know there are so many people out there that really and truly need to know how great they are.

YOU ARE GREATNESS WRAPPED IN PERFECTION. It doesn't matter where you're from, what you've done, what size you are, what your hair color is, If you even have Hair or not, what mistakes you've made, who your married to. and the list goes on. NONE OF THOSE THINGS MATTER.

So no matter what your going through, what you've been through, what people say about you (even your loved ones or relatives), PLEASE REMEMBER THE CREATOR OF THE EARTH ACHIEVED GREATNESS WHEN HE MADE YOU. He thinks so and I think so.

Never forget who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE GREATNESS!!!!!!!!

We're having a baby! SAY WAHHH?!!

The first time I found out I was pregnant was on a Monday. I was due to fly to see my fiancé in just four short days after that Monday. I tried so hard no to tell him over the phone because it was a conversation I wanted to have in person. The next three days were the hardest days of my entire life.  My closest family and friends know that I am a terrible liar and I am even worse at keeping secrets ( unless of course the revealing of them could possible hurt someone else) But nevertheless I am simply the worst person to have a secret of her own. I vowed not to tell anyone I was pregnant until I told my fiancé. I did not want him to feel as if he was the last to know. Well That Vow Lasted for Exactly 46 Seconds....

I ran to my brothers house and sat him and his wife down and spilled my guts.
"I'M PREGNANT!!" I Screamed with a Huge sigh of relief as if I had kept the secret my entire life. (to be fair Id kept the secret for about two hours which, to me, felt like my entire life)

They were both shocked and excited. They swore to secrecy. this was something that was hard for to two of them as well because. Well if you know my brother you know he can't hold water (Mani if your reading this I wove You) but seriously! so of course i told them together that way they'd have each other to talk to about it.

Although their reaction was priceless IT was Nothing As Cute As My Fiance's Reaction. I hope you like it here is the video. It is funny and adorable.

If you or someone you know is having a baby I strongly recommend that you make a reaction video of your husband, boyfriend, fiancé or etc. I guarantee it will be worth it.

1) First, Find A Clever Way To Tell Them Your Pregnant
I choose to give him an early Christmas present since we were so close to the holiday. I wrapped          baby booties, my pregnancy test and the doctors note all in a box and had him open it.

2)Second, Make sure there are not a lot of people around so you can get his genuine reaction
Often times a crowd will make a man react or act differently then he normally would so the video will not be as genuine. I choose to do it in the car at the Airport because I just could not wait until  got home. In the car it was just my fiancé and I so he felt very comfortable.

3) Lastly make sure you have a good camera and good lighting to film his reaction
This video will possibly be in your family for awhile, hopefully long enough for your child to watch it when they are old enough. You want to make sure your camera is in a good position for lighting so that you can see everything going on in the video. (or else what's the point)

If you decide to film his reaction or you already have or you have a funny story about when you told your husband and loved ones please comment and share below I would love to hear from you. Until next time, Be blessed.
